How long is the recovery after rhinoplasty?
Most patients have bandaging on the nose for the first week after surgery. There is usually some minor swelling shortly after bandages are removed. Most people return to work/school 8-12 days after surgery. Light physical activity is typically permitted 2 weeks after surgery with a slow and progressive return to all activities.

When will I see the results of my new nose?
When the bandages are removed, about a week after surgery, you'll begin to have an idea of the shape of your new nose. However, results continue to evolve over several months. The "final" result is generally considered to be present 1 year after surgery.
How is a rhinoplasty different than a septoplasty?
A rhinoplasty involves a change in the form of the nose which may be purely cosmetic in nature, or this may involve techniques to improve the ability to breathe through the nose. A septoplasty, often done during a rhinoplasty, involves reshaping the septum, which is the wall dividing the nose into a right and left cavity in order to create more symmetric nasal passages for enhanced breathing.
